BNP Standing Committee Member Rafiqul Islam Mia on Life Support
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee member and former minister Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia has been placed on life support at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

On Thursday (July 23), while undergoing treatment at the hospital, his physical condition deteriorated, and doctors placed him on life support.

Rafiqul Islam Mia's Personal Assistant (PS) Muksedur Rahman Abir confirmed the matter. He said that due to the deterioration of his physical condition, he has been placed on life support. At the same time, the family has asked the countrymen to pray for his recovery.

Earlier, on Tuesday (July 21), Rafiqul Islam Mia suddenly fell ill and was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital. He has been undergoing treatment there since then.

Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, in addition to being a member of the BNP's Standing Committee, has served as a former minister and has been actively involved in the country's politics for a long time.
