The Prime Minister will provide new houses and rehabilitation assistance to those affected by the recent floods in Banshkhali and Hathazari upazilas. Besides, he is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Shah Muhibullah Babunagari, Amir of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, at Al-Jamiatul Islamia Azizul Uloom Babunagar Madrasa in Fatikchhari.

Later, the Prime Minister will go to Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Moinul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari. On Sunday night, after an exchange of views with party leaders and activists at the auditorium of the five-star hotel Radisson Blu Bay View in the city, he will return to Dhaka.

More than a hundred arches have been constructed at different points of the Chattogram-Khagrachhari regional highway to welcome the Prime Minister. Separate preparation meetings have been held from each union on behalf of the party, and extensive preparations are being made to welcome the Prime Minister. A road map has been announced for a human chain on both sides of the road, from the temporary helipad to the new Nazirhat Bridge at the southern border of Fatikchhari upazila.

In this regard, Fatikchhari upazila BNP member secretary Zahir Azam Chowdhury told Kalbela, 'There is a festive mood in the air with the news that the Prime Minister is coming to Fatikchhari. All kinds of preparations have already been completed on behalf of the party.'

Fatikchhari Upazila Executive Officer Saeed Mohammad Ibrahim said, 'All relevant government authorities have completed all preparations to welcome the Prime Minister. The entire Fatikchhari has turned into a city of festivity.'

Sarwar Alamgir, Member of Parliament from Chattogram-2 (Fatikchhari) constituency, said, 'Various programs have been taken to welcome the Prime Minister on behalf of the government and BNP. There is vibrancy among everyone irrespective of ethnicity, religion and caste; Fatikchhari is decorated in festive colors.'
