Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has expressed deep mourning at the death of Norway's late King Harald V. On Monday (31 August), the party's Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar went to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka and signed the condolence book.
At this time, on behalf of Jamaat's Amir and opposition leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, he handed over the condolence message sent to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to Ambassador Haakon Arald Gulbrandsen.

The condolence message recalled King Harald V's long state responsibilities, leadership, humility, and his contributions to the people of Norway. Deep condolences were also expressed to the Norwegian royal family, government, and people.

It is noteworthy that King Harald V died on August 28, 2026, at the age of 89. He ascended to the throne of Norway in 1991 and served as king for more than three decades.
