The government has increased the price of bottled soybean oil by Tk 5 per liter. The new price has been set at Tk 204, which was earlier Tk 199.
On Wednesday, in a meeting with businessmen at the Ministry of Commerce, a decision was taken to adjust edible oil prices.

Earlier, on April 26, the price of bottled soybean oil was increased by Tk 4 to Tk 199. At that time, the Ministry of Commerce said that due to the price increase in the international market, the price of the import-dependent product had to be adjusted in the domestic market as well.

Since soybean oil is completely import-dependent, changes in international market prices directly affect domestic import costs and retail prices.
