Speaking as the chief guest at a long march program in Comilla on Saturday, he said that the residents of Comilla have been demanding implementation of the division since 1994. Therefore, without further delay, the Comilla division must be implemented quickly.
He said that the people of Comilla are facing crises over gas, electricity, water and various civic amenities. At the same time, ordinary people and businessmen are suffering due to corruption and extortion. The movement will continue to realize the six-point demands, including solutions to these problems.
Stating that any kind of negligence or hostile attitude towards Comilla is unacceptable, the Jamaat Ameer said that if the people of any district or region are neglected or insulted, it creates pain among them.
At the long march, speakers included National Citizens Party convener Nahid Islam, Liberal Democratic Party president Oli Ahmed, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Ameer Mamunul Haque, and leaders of various levels of the 11-party alliance.
