As part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-7), emphasis is being placed in this year's event on ensuring reliable and modern fuel for all. To tackle this challenge, the national standards body Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has formulated 79 standards for solar power systems, including solar panels, inverters and batteries. To verify product quality, a solar panel testing laboratory equipped with an advanced 'Sun Simulator' of German technology has been set up at BSTI's head office, through which solar panels up to 1,000 watts capacity can be tested.
