The State Minister said that each of the 15 young people selected in eight categories, including self-employment, social service, science and technology, will be given Tk one lakh (cash or prize bond) along with a medal, a commemorative crest and a certificate. On the other hand, among 432 youth organizations, the best organization at the district level will receive Tk one lakh, the best organization at the upazila level Tk 75 thousand, and 20 organizations in a special category will receive grants of up to Tk 5 lakh. They have been selected through a transparent process by evaluation of committees led by deputy commissioners and the Youth Welfare Fund Board.
At the main event next October 17, immediately after the Prime Minister inaugurates the cheque handover, the grant money will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the respective organizations through EFT. In addition, it was informed at the press conference that deputy commissioners, joining via video conference, will hand over cheques to the remaining organizations locally.
