Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) detained 84 people, including 26 women, in a raid at the house of an Additional DIG of Police in Bhatara in the capital.
On charges of running drugs and an illegal DJ party, the operation was carried out from last Monday night until noon today, Tuesday (October 20).

Additional Commissioner (Detective) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Shafiqul Islam said the police officer had rented out the house. The operation was conducted after information was received that a drug den and illegal DJ party had been going on there for a long time.

Relevant sources said the owner of the house is Additional DIG Abdullah Al Zahir, who works in the Maintenance and Repair Branch of Police Headquarters. Although he was called multiple times to seek his comment on the DB raid at his house, he did not receive the calls.
