Meanwhile, amid concerns over the ongoing HSC and equivalent examinations, the Inter-Education Board has stated that if floods or adverse weather conditions occur in any area, necessary decisions will be made in consultation with the relevant ministry.

Calling on examinees and guardians not to worry, the President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, said that the board is aware of the flood warning in 16 districts. If a flood situation arises in any district, a quick decision regarding the exams will be announced after consulting with the ministry.

He further informed that instructions have been prepared to bring examinees to safe locations near their exam centers if necessary. Immediate measures will be taken according to the situation.

The Flood Forecasting and Warning Center has reported that short-term floods may occur in low-lying areas adjacent to some rivers in Bandarban, Cox's Bazar, Feni, Chattogram, and Khagrachhari within the next 72 hours. Additionally, there is a risk of temporary flooding in some low-lying areas of Lakshmipur and Noakhali.

During the same period, the forecast also mentions that short-term flood conditions may arise in low-lying areas adjacent to rivers in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Netrokona, Sherpur, and Mymensingh districts.

On the other hand, the Bangladesh Water Development Board has stated that the water level of the Teesta River may flow above the danger level within the next 48 hours. This raises the risk of short-term floods in low-lying areas adjacent to the river in Nilphamari and Lalmonirhat districts.

It is noteworthy that this year's HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2. A total of 1,270,583 examinees are participating in 2,697 centers across the country this time.
