The decision was announced in stages on Tuesday (July 7) night. Initially, the postponement of exams in Chattogram and Rangamati districts was declared. Later, exams in Cox's Bazar and finally all districts under the Chattogram Education Board for Wednesday were postponed.
As a result, the HSC exams for Wednesday will not be held for examinees in Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachari, and Bandarban districts.
The Chattogram Education Board stated that due to the combined effects of continuous heavy rain, hill torrents, and tidal surges, severe waterlogging and hazardous conditions have arisen in the Chattogram region, and this decision was made considering the safety of the examinees.
The education board has informed that the new schedule for the postponed exams will be announced later.
