Government will implement every letter of July Charter: State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad
State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad said the government is determined to implement every commitment of the July Charter. He said, 'We will implement every page, every letter of the July Charter.'

He said this while talking to journalists after paying tribute at the July Martyrs Memorial in Sher-e-Bangla Park in Panchagarh town at 10:30 am on Wednesday (August 5).

The State Minister said the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working to implement every commitment of the July Charter.

Calling upon all political parties and people of the country to remain united, he said, 'We should all remain united so that fascist forces cannot create divisions in the country by taking advantage in any way. We all have to protect the newly achieved independence and democratic progress of Bangladesh.'

He further said that five distinguished sons of Panchagarh sacrificed their lives in the July movement. He prayed for the forgiveness of their souls and paid deep respect to the martyr families.

Later, tributes were paid to the martyrs' memorial from various government and non-government institutions, including the district administration, district police, zila parishad, civil surgeon's office, July martyr families, and volunteer organizations.

At that time, Deputy Commissioner Sukria Parvin, Superintendent of Police Abu Sayem, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mizanur Rahman and other senior officials of the administration were present.

After paying tribute, special prayers and munajat were held seeking forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs of the July movement and recovery of the injured fighters.

Later, the district administration hosted a reception at the government auditorium for the families of July martyrs and injured fighters. Afterwards, at the discussion meeting, State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad, Deputy Commissioner Mosa. Sukria Parvin, convener of district BNP Jahirul Islam Kachchu, government counsel Mirza Nazmul Islam Kajol and members of July martyr families spoke.
