He made these remarks to journalists after submitting Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's nomination papers for the presidency to the Chief Election Commissioner at the Election Building on Thursday (August 13) afternoon.
Rizvi said, "Tarek Rahman's government is a government founded on justice. We want Sheikh Hasina to return so that she can be brought to justice."
The BNP leader further said, "India considers Sheikh Hasina as one of its own because she did everything to India's liking. She sold the sovereignty of this country."
He added, "Sheikh Hasina did not learn from the history of Pharaoh and Nimrod. She considered herself all-powerful. She did not fear the power of Allah or the power of the people. Ultimately, she was defeated by all forces and forced to flee."
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, "Tarek Rahman's government is a government of justice. The people want to see justice for those who committed abductions and murders in the past."
He said, "We want to see Sheikh Hasina's trial carried out. The person who killed so many people is again holding press conferences and saying she will return in December. Saying she will do politics—it's like a demand made at one's maternal uncle's house."
Rizvi concluded, "Those who have given shelter to Sheikh Hasina want to use her to achieve their interests. Sheikh Hasina wanted to destroy the Zia family."
