The body was recovered around 8 am on Friday (9 October) from land next to a residential house in the North Teriyail area of Baraiyadhala Union of the upazila.

Locals saw the body lying in the land and informed the police. Later, police from Sitakunda Model Police Station went to the scene and recovered the body.

Police initially suspect that the woman may have been killed by strangulation. However, the actual cause of death could not be confirmed before the autopsy and investigation.

Police are investigating to identify the deceased woman and unravel the mystery of the incident.
